REPORTED EARNINGS

Hanover Direct Inc., Weehawken, N.J., mail-order merchant operating the Tweeds telemarketing and order-filling center in Roanoke, on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $2.5 million, or 2 cents per share, compared with a loss of $1.3 million, or 7 cents per share, in the 1992 quarter. Revenues, reflecting 2 percent higher sales from continuing catalogs and $7.6 million generated by new catalog businesses acquired during the quarter, were $147.9 million against $144.8 million.

For the nine months ended September 25, net income was $9.3 million, or 9 cents per share, compared with $13.7 million, or 40 cents per share, in the 1992 period. Revenues were $413.8 million compared with $416.4 million.

Adolph Coors Co.

Adolph Coors Co., a Golden, Colo., brewer operating a bottling and distribution plant in Rockingham County, on Monday reported third-quarter net sales of $535.6 million, up 3.6 percent from $517 million a year earlier, and net income of $9.6 million, or 25 cents per share, down from $24.8 million, or 66 cents per share, in the 1992 quarter.

For the first nine months, net sales were $1.24 billion, or 87 cents per share, up 2.7 percent from $1.21 billion, or 55 cents per share, a year earlier. Year-to-date net income was $33.1 million, down from $39.2 million in the 1992 period.

Oakwood Homes

Oakwood Homes Corp. on Monday reported record sales, total revenues and net income for the fourth quarter and for the year ended Sept. 30.

Fourth-quarter sales were $90.4 million, up 53 percent from $59 million for the 1992 quarter. Revenues were $108.7 million, up 51 percent from $71.8 million for the 1992 quarter. Net income was $7.8 million, or 41 cents per share, up 68 percent from last year's $4.6 million, or 29 cents per share. Fiscal year sales were $260.9 million, up 41 percent from $184.6 million last year. Total revenues were $322.3 million, up 39 percent from $231.6 million. Net income was $23.5 million, or $1.22 per share, up 68 percent from $14 million, or 90 cents per share.
