OBIT SIMPKINS, ELLIS A.

SIMPKINS, Ellis A., 76, of Radford, died Monday, November 1, 1993, at Radford Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Moore Simpkins; three brothers, Orville, Ernest, and Curtis Simpkins; and one sister, Hazel S. Wade. He is survived by five sons and three daughters-in-law, Herbert B. Simpkins of Christiansburg, Samuel A. and Peggy Simpkins of Christiansburg, Nelson W. and Deborah Simpkins of Christiansburg, Donald J. Simpkins of Christiansburg, Travis C. and Gail Simpkins of Radford; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shelby S. and Bobby Roberts of Christiansburg, Linda S. and Bob Smith of Riner, Teresa S. and Joe Davis of Dublin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Vonie Simpkins of Maryland Erby and Coleen Simpkins of Radford, Seibert and Juanita Simpkins of Hiwassee; two sisters and brother-in-law, Donna S. Wilson of Radford, Ruth S. and Clovis Terry of Floyd. Also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. from the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with Dr. Maurice T. McCarthy officiating. Interment will follow in the Graysontown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
