OBIT HARLESS, BOBBY JO AND HARLESS, GERALDINE HUFFMAN

HARLESS, Bobby Jo, 60, and his wife, HARLESS, Geraldine Huffman, 66, of Salem, died Monday, November 1, 1993, at their home. Mr. Harless was born in Craig County on January 6, 1933, to the late Billy B. and Stella Bland Harless. He was a retired General Electric employee. Mrs. Harless was born in Princeton, W. Va. on December 9, 1926, to Howard and Venus Osborne Huffman. She was a retired secretary with V.P.I. and the State Police. They are survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Robert Cecil, Christiansburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Tyrone Dean and Diane Trenor, Newport; three grandchildren, Melissa Shepherd, Christiansburg, Michelle Long, Blacksburg, Tina Trenor, Newport; one great-grandchild, Haley Shepherd. Mr. Harless was preceded in death by a brother, Malcolm Harless. He is also survived by three sisters, Bernice Camper, Salem, Alice Osborne, Columbus, Ohio, Mildred Duncan, Newport. Mrs. Harless is also survived by two sisters, Claudine Estes and Jacqueline Rose, both of Newport; three brothers, Howard M. Huffman Jr., Salem, Charles W. Huffman and Bobby K. Huffman, both of Newport. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 5, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel in Blacksburg, with the Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 291, Salem, Va., 24153. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
