RVC RUNNERS RULE CROSS COUNTRY MEET

Wilson Pasley of Roanoke Valley Christian was the individual winner, and the Eagles placed three runners in the top four in winning the Virginia Independent Conference cross country meet in Waynesboro.

Pasley covered the 3.1-mile course in 16 minutes, 14 seconds. John Childress of Roanoke Valley Christian was second and teammate John Hayden finished fourth.

The Eagles won the team competition easily with 37 points. Miller School was second (81), followed by Roanoke Catholic (86) and North Cross (107).

Greg Broderick and Matt Campbell of Roanoke Catholic finished sixth and seventh to earn all conference honors.
