OBIT THOMPSON, DOUGLAS G.

THOMPSON, Douglas G., 67, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, November 2, 1993. He was retired from Norfolk & Western Railway and was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving is his wife, Eleanor Eanes Thompson; one son, Terry W. Thompson; a daughter and son-in-law, Jann and T. Bruce Tunnell; two grandsons, Ryan B. Tunnell, and Ross G. Tunnell, all of Roanoke. Services will be at Oakey's North Chapel, 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Wayne Harrison will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
