James River (12-8, 10-2) shot 20-of-58 from the floor and needed a strong third quarter to put away Covington (7-11, 7-5).
Camille Arbogast led the Knights with 10 points, and teammates Kara Mundy and Angie Johnson added nine each. \
Martinsville 66, Chatham 42: At Chatham, Erica Brandon led the way with 21 points as the Bulldogs won a Piedmont District game.
Keenya Hairston added 16 points for Martinsville (16-4, 16-2).
Chatham got 11 points from Torrie Myers. \
Gretna 57, Magna Vista 47: At Gretna, the Hawks seized control in the second half en route to a Piedmont District victory.
LaShawn Barber led the way with 19 points, Sabrina Logan had 14 and Charita Dews added 12 for Gretna (9-11, 8-10).
Magna Vista (13-8, 10-8) got 13 points from Kathleen Speakman. The Warriors led 24-23 at halftime. \
\ Rocky Gap 62, Auburn 50: At Rocky Gap, Christy Whitt hit three 3-point goals and finished with 23 points as Rocky Gap broke a tie in the fourth quarter to win a Mountain Empire District game.
Nancy Tupper added 20 points for Rocky Gap (11-10, 10-8).
Angie Simpkins paced Auburn (13-7, 12-6) with 19 points. \
Glenvar 62, Highland 26: Toree Morris scored 16 points, including two 3-pointers, as Glenvar routed visiting Highland County to win its 10th consecutive Pioneer District regular-season title.
The Highlanders (16-4, 11-1) broke open the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Rams 22-4.
Marilea Hale scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Amanda Kennedy chipped in 12 points for Glenvar.
The hosts held all Highland scorers in single digits. The Rams are 4-16, 2-10. \
