ABSHER-WELCH

Brenda Lynn Welch and David Lemuel Absher were married November 6, 1993, in Vinton War Memorial, with the Rev. Harold Cook officiating. The reception was held at the Vinton War Memorial. The maid of honor was Sandra W. Thrasher, sister of the bride. The best man was David Galloway, friend. Ringbearer was Ryan Thrasher, nephew of the bride.Photography by Barry Brooks Photography. The bride's gown was ivory satin with cathedral train. She carried acascade of ivory roses. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis E. Welch of Buchanan. She is a graduate of James River High School, and is employed by BellSouth Communication Systems. The groom is the son of the late Mr. Ray Absher, and Mrs. Joy Absher. He is a graduate of William Byrd High School, and is employed by Progress Press, Inc. The newlyweds will live in Vinton.
