AUSTIN-WILSON

Elaine R. Wilson of Martinsville, and William R. Austin of Eden, N.C., were united in marriage Saturday, November 6, at Broad Street Christian Church in Martinsville. Dr. James A. Dickerson and the Rev. Gina Rhea performed theceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barnie A. Wilson of Radford. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph J. Austin, Jr., of Eden.

A program of wedding music wasperformed by Jerry Blankenship of Martinsville. Soloist was Elizabeth Blankenship of Martinsville.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a candlelight grown designed with awedding band collar and an English net yolk embellished with alencon laceappliques accented with iridescentsequins and seed pearls. The fitted bodice has a basque waistline outlined in alencon lace also. The gathered skirt had satin bow pull ups over a gathered ruffledhemline that fell into a full sweepcathedral train. She wore a shoulder length veil and carried a bouquet of white and sonya roses and white iris.

Mrs. Gloria Boyd of Radford, was her sister's matron of honor. She wore a tea-length dress made of salmon colored brocade cotton and carried a nosegay of sonya roses. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Lisa Davison of Louisville, Ky., sister of the bride; Ms. Mary Austin of Thomasville, N.C., sister of the groom; Miss Laura Boyd of Radford, niece of the bride. The flower girl was Miss Lindsay Boyd of Radford, niece of the bride. Their dresses were identical to the honor attendant.

Mr. Mark Cornell of Greensboro, N.C., served as the best man. Groomsmen were S. Sgt. Tom Austin of Bridgeport, Calif., brother of the groom; Mr. Russell Boyd of Radford, nephew of the bride; and Mr. Tracy Freeman of Dayton, Ohio.

A reception catered by the Christian Women's Fellowship of Broad Street Christian Church was held in the fellowship hall.

Following their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Eden, N.C.

The bride is the Minister of Christian Education at Broad Street Christian Church. The groom is the first shift foreman at the Blanket Division of Fieldcrest Cannon in Eden.
