OBIT PETERS, JACOB ALFRED, ("JUNIOR")

PETERS, Jacob Alfred, ("Junior"), 68, of Roanoke, died Saturday, November 6, 1993. He was a retired bartender. Surviving are his sons, Toby Peters of Florida, Steve Peters of Roanoke; six daughters, Sherry Powell, Pam Thurman, Diane Lipes, all of Roanoke, Deborah Stump of Boones Mill, Julie Peters, Amy Peters, both of Roanoke; a dear friend, Carolyn Overstreet of Boones Mill; two brothers, James (Pete) Peters of Florida, Billy Peters of Roanoke; five sisters, Dorothy Poff, Maudessa Bryant, Betty StClair, Rita Robertson, Brenda Booth, all of Roanoke; a number of grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Louise Horne. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Mountain View Memorial Park, Boones Mill, Va. with the Rev. Irvin W. Sloan officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m. Sunday.
