ROCKY GAP BLASTS BLAND

Nancy Tupper scored 19 points and freshman Amanda Clark pulled in 12 rebounds as Rocky Gap blew out county rival Bland 66-23 in a Mountain Empire District tournament girls' basketball game Saturday.

The Eagles (12-10) also had double-figure scoring from Chrystal Kidd with 10 and Christie Whitt with 14 to earn a game against Shawsville Monday at Fort Chiswell.

Bland (0-21) was paced by Rachel French with eight points. - Staff report
