OBIT-WERNER, ALFRED KENTON
WERNER, Alfred Kenton, 55, of 109 Grant Street, Bluefield, Va., formerly of
Radford, died Monday, November 8, 1993, at his home. He was born in Wise
County. He was a son of the late Alfred and Ruby Short Werner. He was a street
supervisor for the City of Bluefield, W.Va. He was a member of the Virginia
Avenue United Methodist Church in Bluefield, Va. and a life member of the
Bluefield, Va. Rescue Squad. He served in the United States Army. Survivors
include his wife, Bonnie Barnette Werner; one son, Darrell Kenton Werner of
Bluefield, Va.; one daughter, Kimberly W. Haynes of Princeton, W.Va.; two
brothers, Bobby Joe Werner of Christiansburg and Melvin Werner of Radford;
three sisters, Mrs. Sam (Anita) Stuart of Santa Barbara, Calif., Mrs. Wesley
(Joan) Kesterson of Bassett and Mrs. Dean (Debbie) Young of Radford; three
grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Dudley
Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with the Rev. Laura Jean Myers-Ross
officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens. Friends may
call at the Dudley Memorial Mortuary Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.
