OBIT STARKEY, DANIEL FRANKLIN

STARKEY, Daniel Franklin, 52, of Vinton, passed away Sunday, November 7, 1993. He was a member and elder of Second Presbyterian Church and was a retired employee of C & P Telephone Co. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Young Starkey; son, LCPL Daniel F. Starkey II, Monterey, Calif.; two daughters, Catherine G. Starkey and Cynthia A. Starkey, both of Vinton; one son and daughter-in-law, David W. Starkey and wife Vivian, Chapel Hill, N.C.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Starkey, LaHabra, Calif., and David Looney, Groton, Conn.; two sisters, Shirley Foutz, Vinton, Martha Lorenz, Villa Hills, Ky. Funeral services will be conducted from Second Presbyterian Church, 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, with Dr. William R. Klein and Rev. Taylor Todd officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
