OBIT GRAVES, BETTY F.

GRAVES, Betty F., 64, of Bedford, passed away Monday, November 8, 1993, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born December 27, 1928, in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Harry Fizer and Margaret Key Fizer. She was Bookkeeper and Clerk at Bedford Hardware, was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, a member of the Eastern Star and the Belmont Garden Club. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Fizer. She is survived by her husband, Lowell Carr Graves; a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret G. and Jackie Reynard, Blue Ridge; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene C. and Patsy Graves, Bedford; a granddaughter, Lindsay Marie Graves, Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 11, 1993, at 11 a.m. from the Main Street United Methodist Church, by Dr. Carl Douglass Jr. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford, and other times at the residence, and request that those wishing to make memorials consider the Bedford Lifesaving Crew or the Main Street United Methodist Church.
