OBIT HUTTON, MARY MATHENA
HUTTON, Mary Mathena, 100, of Radford, died Tuesday, November 9, 1993, at
Radford Community Hospital. She was born September 11, 1893, to the late Les
Lafeyette and Virgie O. Mathena. Mrs. Hutton was preceded in death by her
husband, C.C. ("Charley") Hutton. She is survived by one brother; Ed Mathena
of Marion; four sisters; Ruth Peak and Bert Webb of Marion, Elizabeth Poole of
Cedar Springs and Katherine Moon of Trenton, N.J.; a special niece that she
raised, Shelby Gibson of Radford. Also survived by two special great-nieces;
Lisa Gibson Stike and Cindy Gibson Murphy. Funeral services will be held
Thursday, November 11, 1993, at 2 p.m. at the Gethesemane Baptist Church in
Radford with the Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at
Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Marion, Va. The family will receive friends from 6
to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
