The Virginia Museum of Transportation will sponsor a Family Camp-In on Nov. 19-20.
Sleeping bags and comfortable clothes are in order for the night, which will include an evening snack and breakfast, admission to the museum, supplies and instruction. The camp-in is for children older than 5 and reservations are required by Friday.

Country music concert
Confederate Railroad will roll through Roanoke once again when the country music group performs on Dec. 16 at the Salem Civic Center.
Highway 101 will open the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.50-$15.50 and are on sale at the Salem Civic Center (375-3004) and TicketMaster outlets.
Free concert
The Roanoke Chamber Singers will present a free concert Saturday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church in Roanoke.
Meet the artist
Artist Harriett Stokes will speak on her work at the Art Museum of Western Virginia in Roanoke on Nov. 18 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Stokes, who paints landscapes in oil and watercolor, has exhibited her work throughout Virginia and is included in more than 500 corporate and private collections.
