WASTE REDUCTION CLASS ANNOUNCED

The YMCA Open University is sponsoring a free class on "Household Waste Reduction" on Tuesday, 7-8:30 p.m. at Williams Hall. There is no charge, but registration is required.

Also on Tuesday, a one night class is being offered to those interested in learning to sew a 5-by-3-foot "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" banner. Cost is $8 plus supplies, and the class will meet at Blacksburg High School, 7-9:30 p.m.

Japanese is written using two alphabets and Chinese characters. No knowledge of Japanese is required to participate in "Japanese Writing" instruction on Wednesday. Cost is $5, and the one-night class will meet 7-8:30 p.m. at Williams Hall.
