OBIT AZAR, KAREN MARIE

AZAR, Karen Marie, 50, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, November 9, 1993, at her residence. She was born in Somerville, Mass. and was employed by Lewis-Gale Clinic as a lab manager. She was also a member of the American Society for Medical Technology. Karen was a loving friend, aunt, and neighbor. She was also respected by her co-workers at Lewis-Gale. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Azar. Survivors include her mother, Isabelle Poleon Azar, North Port, Fla.; two brothers, John Azar, Arlington, Mass., and Edward Azar, Grafton, Mass.; a sister, Judith A. Faulhefer, Butler, N.J.; two aunts, Iris Poleon, Wakefield, Mass., Rosalind Ross, North Port, Fla.; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 12, at 1 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel with Father James Parke. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
