OBIT BURRIS, JOHN MARSHALL
BURRIS, John Marshall, 61, of Salem, died Monday, November 8, 1993. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Linkous and William Daniel Burris
Sr.; brothers, William Daniel Burris Jr., Richard Alfred Burris. He is
survived by his wife, Shirley B. Burris; daughter, Valerie Renae Burris of
Salem; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Judy Burris of Norfolk, Bobby
and Donna Burris of Ariz., Jackie and Reba Burris of Roanoke, Doug Burris of
Roanoke; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Carl Bradford, Evelyn
Ferguson, Edna and Calvin Lawrence, Nancy Williams, all of Salem, Barbara Ann
Keeling of Roanoke; five nieces; 11 nephews. Funeral services will be held 11
a.m. Thursday, November 11, 1993 at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home
Chapel, Salem with Rev. Kenneth Burger officiating. Interment will follow in
Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
at the funeral home.
