OBIT KING, DOSCHIE MAUDE LEFTWICH
KING, Doschie Maude Leftwich, 82, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, November 10,
1993. Mrs. King was born in Huddleston, Virginia and was preceded in death by
her husband of 58 years, James Winton King, in May of 1993. She was employed
by The American Viscose Company, a nursing assistant at Community Hospital,
Harris Realty of Roanoke and Cundiff Realty of Vinton. She is survived by two
daughters and sons-in-laws, India Sue and Tommy England, Hardy, Margaret Ann
and Charles Petruzzo of Bowie, Md.; one sister, Marie Creasey of Huddleston;
one brother, S. Dewey Leftwich of Huddleston; two sisters-in-laws, Evelyn W.
Leftwich of Roanoke and Kathryn W. Leftwich of Huddleston; five grandchildren,
Shane Moorman, Travis Moorman, Mary Margaret Petruzzo, Theresa Marie Petruzzo
and Bill Petruzzo; two great-grandsons, Nicholas Moorman and Zachary Moorman;
and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday,
November l3, l993 at the Lotz Vinton Chapel at ll a.m. with the Rev Wayne
Murphy officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery. The
family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2
to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial
donations may be made to The Vinton Life Saving Crew or The American Heart
Association.
