OBIT BRANSCOME, LAFAYETTE

BRANSCOME, Lafayette, ("Bear"), 75, of Rt. 3, Box 470 (Case Knife Rd.), Pulaski, died Tuesday night, November 9, 1993, at his home. He was born in Carroll County on July 15, 1918. He attended the Westminister Presbyterian Chapel, Pulaski, and was retired employee of the State Highway Department having 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Orlene Marshall Branscome; and by one stepson, Carl Edwards. Surviving are his wife, Velva W. Branscome, Pulaski; one special granddaughter, Tina Marie Lane, Dugspur; four stepchildren, Carlis Lundy, Pulaski, Barbara Campbell, Norfolk, Brenda Taylor, Pulaski, Betty Hughes, Pulaski; seven stepgrandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Ricks officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Thursday evening at Stevens Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Pulaski.
