OBIT MOTLEY, ROBERT LEE

MOTLEY, Robert Lee, 59, of Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, November 9, 1993. Surviving are five sisters, Doris Grindstaff of Rocky Mount, Gladys Grindstaff of Illinois, Mary Law of Scarboro, W.Va., Catherine Martin of Callands and Bertha Mann of Illinois; six brothers, Henry ("Jim") Motley of Martinsville, Calvin Motley, John Alton Motley, George B. Motley, Wayne Motley and Gerald Motley, all of Rocky Mount; his stepmother, Lucy Law Motley of Rocky Mount; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday from Lynch Chapel with the Rev. Glen Voss officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Snow Creek Rescue Squad or the Snow Creek Fire Department.
