BARTER LINING UP PLAYS FOR ITS '94 SEASON

Even before Barter Theatre ends its 1993 season, Artistic Director Richard Rose is planning the one for next year.

Actually, Barter's activities will not be finished even for 1993 when its current production of ``Dracula'' ends Nov. 7. ``A Barter Christmas,'' a special holiday entertainment combining Yuletide tall tales with music of the season, will be performed Dec.10-23.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with 2 p.m. matinees Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. From Dec. 21-23, there will be added 7:30 p.m. performances Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Further information is available about performances or buying discount tickets for next year by calling 1-800-368-3240.

Barter has already scheduled two plays for its 1994 season. It will open in the spring with J.M. Barrie's classic ``Peter Pan'' and close with a stage adaptation of Harper Lee's award-winning novel, ``To Kill a Mockingbird.''

Barter is in the process of negotiating rights for five other plays, to be chosen from ``Lost in Yonkers,'' ``Dangerous Corner,'' ``Deja Vu,'' ``Camelot,'' ``Man of La Mancha,'' ``Greenwillow,'' ``Always...Patsy Cline,'' ``Dancing at Lughnasa,'' ``The Lion in Winter,'' ``The LIttle Foxes,'' ``I Hate Hamlet,'' ``Lettice and Lovage'' and ``The Land of Cotton.''
