FRANKLIN COUNTY LOSES IN VOLLEYBALL

C.D. Hylton made it a clean sweep in volleyball for the Cardinal District against the Roanoke Valley District as the Bulldogs whipped Franklin County 15-10, 15-5 Wednesday in the first round of the Group AAA Northwestern Region tournament at Woodbridge.

Hylton joins Osbourn Park, which beat Patrick Henry in another first-round match, in the semifinals scheduled Saturday at Albemarle. Franklin County finishes with an 11-7 record.
