SHOCKLEY, Raymond Tipton, 91, of Hillsville, passed away Friday, November
12, 1993, at his home. He was born February 6, 1902, in Carroll County to John
Washington Shockley and Sarah Elizabeth Kester Shockley. He is survived by a
daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Ibern Cox, Hillsville; grandson, R. Carter
Cox, Vinton; granddaughter and spouse, Charlotte C. and Ken Webb, Winter Park,
Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m.
Sunday, November 14, 1993, at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville,
with Elder Jess Higgins officiating. Burial will be in the Wilkinson Memorial
Cemetery, Hillsville. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday,
November 13, 1993, at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements by
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville.
