The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenwood A. Divers and the granddaughter of of Mrs. Livie B. Smith and the late Roy Silas Smith, all of Rocky Mount. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lance of Brevard, North Carolina.
The 19th Century theme was highlighted by the harp and flute. The bride, flower girls, and ringbearer arrived in a horse drawn carriage. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a pearl spangled, off the shoulder Victorian lace gown and hat. She wore her Mother's antique lace garter, and carried pale pink and white roses with English ivy bound in antique lace. The bride's ring was brought from Cesena, Italy.
The maid of honor was Menard Hall of Miami, Florida. Bridesmaids were Cheryl Stone-Hartley of Atlanta, Georgia; Leslie Collins of Atlanta, Georgia; Karen Mandia of New York; sister-in-law, Marie Divers and cousins: Sheila Pugh of Roanoke; Livie Ingram West of Orlando, Florida; Christy M. Angle of Atlanta, Georgia and Anne-Lewis Angle of Bethesda, Maryland.
Best man was the bridegroom's father, Earl Lance. Groomsmen were the groom's uncle, Paul Lance of Savannah, Georgia; Philip Avery of Atlanta, Georgia; Charles Carroll of Point Hope, Alaska; John Brinkley of Atlanta, Georgia and brother of the bride, Mark Divers of Rocky Mount.
Flower girls were the bride's nieces, Megan and Mallory Divers of Rocky Mount and Pasley Gamble of Atlanta, Georgia. The ringbearer was Robin Gamble of Atlanta, Georgia.
The reception was held inside the Greek Revival style estate of Silvermont.
The couple who reside in Atlanta, honeymooned in Jamaica. The bride has her own interior design company and the groom is an artist, art director and production manager of a gallery in Atlanta.
The bride's aunts gave her a shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Angle of Rocky Mount. The cousins gave the bride a brunch in Brevard, North Carolina.
