OBIT MCGHEE, CARL HUFF

MCGHEE, Carl Huff, 82, of Roanoke, died Sunday, November 14, 1993, in a Salem hospital. He was a retired 1st Sgt. with the National Guard, with 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin McGhee. Surviving are his wife, Ruth McGhee; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Alice and Elgin Newbury, Roanoke; sisters, Edith Epperly and Elsie Nelson, Roanoke; grandson, William R. Newbury, Roanoke; granddaughter, Cheryl Coyle, Atlanta, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Oakey's North Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 1993, with the Rev. Charles Hoffler officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park, with military honors. The family will receive friends at Oakey's North Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
