OBIT PETTREY, SHERMAN E.

PETTREY, Sherman E., 66, of Roanoke, died Saturday, November 13, 1993 after a long illness. He was retired from Dominion Bankshares, with 17 years service. He was a Naval veteran of WWII and was a charter member of Preston Oaks Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Velma D. Pettrey; a son and daughter-in-law, Tony E. and Mildred E. Pettrey; granddaughter, Courtney Elaine Pettrey, all of Roanoke; sister, Irene Leach; and a nephew, Jimmy Wayne Pettrey, both of Baltimore, Md.; niece, Constance Cook Bronson, Salem. Graveside service 1 p.m. Tuesday, Novmber 16, 1993 at Tombstone Cemetery with Rev. Harry M. Miller Jr. officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
