OBIT SHORT, BILLIE

SHORT, Billie, 68, of Rt. 1, Glade Hill, died Saturday, November 13, 1993. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Short, his parents, Victor and Willie Short, and a sister, Koleta, four months ago. Surviving are his wife, Annie Christine Short; two daughters, Linda Hogan and Carolyn Law, of Rocky Mount; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Sarah Short, Warm Springs, Michael and Mary Short, Rocky Mount; one sister, Jessie McCollom, Roanoke; one brother, D. T. Short, Roanoke; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild; his mother-in-law, Nanny Gracie Arrington, Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday from Lynch Chapel with Rev. T. Ivey Adams and Rev. Gerald Crouse officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Monday, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
