PARNELL, Mandy Pauline, 69, of Austinville, passed away Sunday, November
14, 1993, at Twin County Community Hospital. Mrs. Parnell was born April 15,
1924, in Carroll County to Isom Monroe Caviness and Mary Margaret Fowler
Caviness. She is survived by two daughters, Jeweldene Hoover, Hartsville,
S.C., Rebecca Sue Meredith, South Williamson, Ky.; seven sons, William Joseph
(Buster) Parnell, Hillsville, James Leonard Parnell, Hillsville, Roger Lee
Parnell, Austinville, Junior Isom Parnell, Max Meadows, Gary Leon Parnell,
Galax, Ricky Lane Parnell, Austinville, Charlie Parnell, Allisonia; three
grandsons; eleven granddaughters and one great-grandson. Funeral services will
be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 1993, at the Trinity United
Methodist Church, Austinville, with the Rev. Earnest Chinault and Elder Joe H.
McGrady officiating. Interment will be in the Parnell Cemetery. The family
will receive friends Monday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville.
