NO LEADS, NO SUSPECTS IN HORSE MUTILATIONS

State police say they are at an impasse in their investigation into the sexual mutilation of horses in five Maryland counties.

"I hate to say this, but at this point, we have no real leads to go on," said state police spokesman Mike McKelvin.

McKelvin said authorities have no suspects and no psychological profile has emerged of the attacker or attackers.

The latest attacks came this month to three Arabian horses in Frederick County. State police have not determined whether they are related to five confirmed cases of sexual mutilation in Frederick, Carroll, Howard, Prince George's and Montgomery counties.
