OBIT PHILLIPS, CLEDDIE

PHILLIPS, Cleddie, ("C.B."), 83, of Alum Ridge passed away Sunday, November 14, 1993, at his home. He was a retired merchant. Survivors include wife, Ruth Quesenberry Phillips, Alum Ridge; three daughters, Evelyn Boles, Iris Carthron, Faye Grindley all of Atlanta, Ga.; two stepsons, Donald Harris, Lynchburg, Michael Quesenberry, Angola, N.Y.; two grandsons, George (Chip) Grindley Jr., Glen Grindley both of Atlanta, Ga.; two stepgrandsons; two stepgranddaughters; three brothers, Kirby Phillips, Christiansburg, Cline Phillips, Radford, Cobern Phillips, Willis; two sisters, Gae Showalter, Willis, Leigh Gillie, Fredericksburg; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Christiansburg Church of Christ, with Mr. Tom Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New River Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 10896, Blacksburg, Va. 24062.
