COMMUNITY PEP RALLY THURSDAY AT 5 P.M. FOR GILES SPARTANS

A community pep rally to support the Giles Spartans - the 1993 Mountain Empire District champions - will be held Thursday, 5 p.m., at Spartan Field.

The Giles Athletic Boosters also are sponsoring a Spartan Spirit Contest. Cash prizes of $25 will go to the area merchant and the local resident whose business or home decorations show the most Spartan spirit. The

boosters also will have a booth at the craft fair Saturday at Eastern Elementary School.
