RADFORD CHRISTMAS

The theme of this year's Radford Christmas parade is "Songs of the Holidays." The parade is set for Dec. 9, at 7 p.m., starting at the University Boulevard bridge and moving west along Norwood and First streets.

Awards will be given to participants in several categories.

Downtown stores will be open during the parade, and Main Street Radford businesses have extended hours starting the evening of the parade through Dec. 23.

Organizations, groups and interested individuals who want to enter the parade should apply by Dec. 3.
