OBIT LANE, ARTHUR R. SR.

LANE, Arthur R. Sr., 71, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, November 16, 1993. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired employee of the Goldberg Company of Richmond. Mr. Lane was a member of the Danville American Legion Post. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Heppert Lane; one son, Arthur R. Lane Jr., Virginia Beach; one daughter, Carolyn Zimmerman, Connecticut; five grandchildren; two sisters. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel, 3 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. William W. Catlett will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel after 1 p.m. Wednesday, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
