OBIT DIGGORY, CARLANNE H.

DIGGORY, Carlanne H., 67, of Pittsburgh, Pa., died Friday, November 12, 1993, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Born in Roanoke on February 24, 1926 to Carl and Anne Shute Hansen, she attended Roanoke High School and the Richmond Art Institute, both in Virginia. From 1963 to 1965, she worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, then went on to work for the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency until 1978. She was a member of the Harrisburg Art Association and has been a case worker for the American Red Cross. She also did portrait painting in the Hershey area. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel J. Cronin, and is survived by her husband, James C. Diggory; one son, Daniel B. Cronin of Owings Mills, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Nancy) Howe of Manteca, Calif.; her granddaughter, Nicole Cronin of Valley Cottage, N.Y.; and an aunt, Miss Jane Shute of Roanoke. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Defense Fund, 25E. Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001. Arrangements by H.
