GIVE A `MOCKTAIL' A TRY FOR THE HOLIDAY

Hosts with the most will be sure to include nonalcoholic "mocktails" in their holiday entertaining menus. High in eye and taste appeal, low in cost and calories, varied and easy to whip up by the batch or liquor-free bracer, these beverages have something for just about everyone.

The most compelling consideration, of course, is that by offering a satisfying nonintoxicating alternative, mocktails might help reduce the number of alcohol-related driving deaths this season.

The following sample only taps the tip of "mocktails'" endless possibilities. In December, a major campaign will kick off against drinking, drugs and driving, and numerous additional free recipes will be offered by a consortium of organizations working toward that end.
