OBIT-GARST, EVELYN BROOKS
GARST, Evelyn Brooks, 92, of Richmond, formerly of Roanoke, died Sunday,
November 14, 1993, at her home. Mrs. Garst was the widow of J. Marshall Garst
who was the last surviving brother of Garst Bros. Dairy, Inc. Surviving are a
daughter, June Garst Daniel of Richmond; three grandchildren, Johnny M. Daniel
of New Mexico, Peter J. Daniel of Richmond and Elizabeth B. Daniel of
Richmond; great-grandchildren, Matthew Daniel of New Mexico and Hilary Daniel
of Richmond; sister, Beulah B. Hensley of Roanoke. Graveside services will be
2 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 1993, at Fairview Cemetery with Dr. Daniel E.
Scott officiating from Virginia Heights Baptist Church. The family suggests
memorial contributions be made to the Roanoke SPCA, 1313 Eastern Avenue, NE,
Roanoke, VA 24012. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
