UW HOPES TO MEET GOAL

The United Way of Pulaski County started this week nearly 78 percent of the way toward its 1993 goal of $220,000.

Susan Roop, its executive director, said several more industries will be reporting their collections later so it looks as though the goal will be met.

Peggy White is campaign chairperson. Division chairpersons include Peggy Holden and David Bennett, heading the volunteers for major firms; Kevin Adkins, businesses in the Fairlawn area; Bill Hubble, the Dublin area; Nancy Burchett, local government workers; Walt Shannon, the county school system; Micki Viers, the professional division; Joyce Gray and Tony Hughes, businesses in the town of Pulaski; and Ron Shelburne, the special gifts division.
