OBIT SESSOR, THOMAS ROY

SESSOR, Thomas Roy, 89, of Gold Bond, Va., died Wednesday, November 17, 1993, at his home. Born in Quarry, Va., in Smyth County, he was a son of the late Thomas Roy and Laura Frances Shepard Sessor. He was a retired employee of National Gypsum Company, Gold Bond Plant. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lucy Barnes Sessor and Susie Blevins Sessor; and a son, Thomas Preston Sessor. Surviving are four sons, Mike Sessor and J. B. Sessor of Gold Bond, William Sessor of Ripplemead, John Sessor of Tomka Park, Md.; six daughters, Joan Belcher, Harriet Stevers of Newport, Va., Shelby Davidson, Frances Cregger of Saltville, Hazel Sessor of Blacksburg, S.C., Eleanor Osborne of Ripplemead; 6 stepchildren, 38 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 20, 1993, at 1 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel in Pembroke, with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park at Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
