OBIT WINTERS, JIMMY WAYNE

WINTERS, Jimmy Wayne, 43, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, November 17, 1993 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Winters was born in Montgomery County on February 14, 1950. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl W. Winters Sr. and two brothers, Jack Wesley Winters and Merl Franklin Winters. Surviving are his wife, Linda P. Winters; two sons, Richard Tomas Winters, and Jimmy Wayne Winters Jr., all of Blacksburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Lynn and Lonnie Accord, Christiansburg; one grandson, Christopher Thomas Hall; his mother, Elsie Hungate Winters, both of Blacksburg; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Shirley Jean Winters, Galax, Betty Lee and Jesse Smith, Alexandria, Joe Ann and Leonard Orange, Martha Ruth Winters, and Lilly Sue and Dale Martin, all of Blacksburg; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, William Daniel and Nancy Winters, Christiansburg, Earl Thomas and Barbara Winters, McCoy, Carl Waitsell and Faye Winters, Roscoe Steven Winters, Larry Edward and Linda Winters, and Glen Michael and Jo-Anne Winters, all of Blacksburg; 36 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 19, at Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
