OBIT ABBOTT, CLARENCE

ABBOTT, CLarence, 82, of Vinton, died Thursday, November 18, 1993. He was a lifetime resident of Vinton, a charter member of Peace Presbyterian Church and Pine Spur Hunt Club. He was a retired employee of American Bridge US Steel. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Nadine Richards Abbott, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Abbott and Thomas Wilson Gisiner of Vinton, Phoebe Abbott and Donald Gene Morrell of Abingdon, Virginia; two granddaughters, Melanie C. Steinle and her husband, Mark D. Steinle, Roanoke, and Catherine Jill Carr, Vinton. Two grandsons, Thomas Kirk Gisiner and his wife, Cynthia C. Gisiner of Edinburg, Justin Abbott Gisiner and wife, Veronica T. Gisiner, Roanoke. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:15 a.m. Monday, November 22, 1993, at Mountain View Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Monday in the Peace Presbyterian Church, Cloverdale Road (Old 604, off Rt 220). The Reverend G. Wilson Gunn Jr will officiate. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Vinton Rescue Squad or the building fund of Peace Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
