W&L RUNNER 8TH IN DIVISION III MEET

Washington and Lee's Josephine Schaeffer finished eighth at the NCAA Division III women's cross country championships in Grinnell, Iowa, to earn All-America honors for the second consecutive year.

Schaeffer, a sophomore who finished 12th at last year's NCAA championships, ran a time of 18 minutes, 4 seconds. That was 15 seconds off the winning time in the five-kilometer race.
