OBIT JOHNSON, JEANETTE M.
JOHNSON, Jeanette M., 87 of Chilhowie, died Saturday, November 20, 1993 in
Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Va. Mrs. Johnson was a member of St.
John Lutheran Church in Abingdon, Va., and was a retired teacher. She was born
and spent most of her life in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Julius R. Johnson, her brother, Fred Moore, and her parents, Minnie
Lincoln Moore and Fred Moore. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law,
Judy and John Taminger of Marion; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and
Marilyn Johnson of Vancouver, Wash.; five grandchildren, Brian Taminger and
wife, Karen, David Taminger and wife Debbie, Julie Bailey and husband, Dan,
Jeff Johnson and wife, Traci, and Kurt Johnson; three great-grandchildren,
Jennifer Warren, Aileena Bailey and Taylor Johnson; three nephews and their
families, Tim Moore of Taylor Ridge, Ill., Michael Moore of Durham, N.C., and
James Moore of Unionville, Conn. The family will receive friends Monday,
November 22, 1993 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel in Marion, Va.,
where funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m. with Pastor James H. Bangle
and Pastor Frank Honeycutt officiating. The body then will be taken to the
Rux-Schuster Funeral Home in Galva, Ill., where the family will receive
friends Friday, November 26, 1993 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will be
held at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Phillip Laurin officiating. Interment will
follow in Galva Cemetery in Galva, Ill. Because Mrs. Johnson was so interested
in children and their education, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers,
friends may make memorial gifts to the parrish Education programs of St. John
Lutheran Church, P. O. box 151, Marion , Va. 24354. Arrangements by
