OBIT TURMAN, C. ARVIN

TURMAN, C. Arvin, 41, of Laurel Fork, passed away Saturday, November 20, 1993. He departed this life to be with the Lord at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. He attended school at Laurel Fork and Hillsville, and worked for the Carroll County School System. He was born in Carroll County, August 19, 1952 to Clarence Turman and Virginia Sutphin Turman. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Lee Turman. He is survived by his parents, Clarence H. and Virginia S. Turman of Laurel Fork; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dana and Donald Martin of Hillsville, Lois and Milton Graham of Bedford; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ronnie Ray and Frances Turman of Laurel Fork, David Wayne Turman of Wytheville; sister-in-law, Mija Turman, Virginia Beach; and one niece, Tracy Jo Martin of Hillsville. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 1993 at the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Dugspur, with the Rev. Allen Thompson and Rev. Jack Holland officiating. Burial will be in Sutphin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Laurel Fork Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday evening at the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville.
