OBIT THOMPSON, AUBREY SHERMAN

THOMPSON, Aubrey Sherman, 70, of Blue Ridge, died Saturday, November 20, 1993. He was retired from N & W Railway as an Engineer at the Roanoke Terminal and served in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II. Mr. Thompson is survived by one son, Jerry C. Thompson of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Harold Thompson of Spottsylvania; two sisters, Rachel T. Ellis and Phyllis T. Coffey, both of Vinton; a special nephew, J. Michael Thompson of Montvale; several other nieces and nephews; and very special friends, the Joe E. Spickard family of Blue Ridge. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 1993 at Lotz Vinton Chapel, with Rev. Guy A. Ritter Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
