OBIT HOWELL, ELMA ANN

HOWELL, Elma Ann, 91, of Chamblissburg, died in a local hospital Sunday, November 21, 1993. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Willie W. Howell of Huddleston, Herbert Hoover Howell, Terry Howell, both of Chamblissburg; three daughters, Lucy Janney of Rocky Mount, N.C., Mary Alice McNeal, Evelyn Robertson, both of Chamblissburg; two brothers, Floyd and Warren Neal of Florida; three sisters, Myrtie Graham of Vinton, Elizzie Wainwright of Roanoke and Lucy Snow of Appomattox; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Beaverdam Baptist Church 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 1993, with the Rev. Dennis E. Moore and the Rev. Albert W. Durrance officiating. Interment will be in the Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Beaverdam Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Vinton Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday.
