Patsy Webb, 60, said she worked at Hardee Memorial Hospital in Wauchula in December 1978 when Regina Twigg and Barbara Mays gave birth to baby girls.
"She was asked by one of the treating physicians to switch the Twiggs and Mays babies but she refused," Webb's attorneys said.
She noticed the next day that the infants had been switched, and was told that if she said anything about it, she would be fired, according to the statement.
Webb's attorneys provided no corroborating evidence and refused to provide a motive. - Associated Press
