BAR TO PAY $7.5 MILLION IN CUSTOMER'S DEATH

The bar that served an underage driver who died in a crash has been ordered to pay $7.5 million in damages.

"This is a warning that if you're going to give out the firewater, you'd better watch out," Donald A. Clancy said Tuesday.

Clancy's 19-year-old son, Shawn, died in 1989 after drinking at Aquarius, a Quincy nightclub. He was served about a dozen drinks, family attorney Frank J. Riccio said. The legal age to drink in Massachusetts is 21. - Associated Press
