OBIT-MACLEOD, TAYLOR ALEXANDER
MACLEOD, Taylor Alexander, 80, of Dublin, died Tuesday, November 23, 1993,
in the Radford Community Hospital. He was born November 25, 1912, in Dublin
and was the son of the late William Harvey MacLeod and Katherine Shufflebarger
MacLeod. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a
lifetime member of the Dublin United Methodist Church, the Cheerful Adults,
and served in many capacities in church leadership. He was a member of Henry
Clay Lodge #280, A.F. & A.M. of Dublin since 1945. He was a retired employee
of Appalachian Power Company. Surviving are his wife, India Baker MacLeod,
Dublin; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Taylor MacLeod, Roanoke, William
Baker MacLeod and Beverly MacLeod, Standardsville; four grandchildren, Shawn
MacLeod, Atwater, Calif., William MacLeod, Elkton, Lindsey MacLeod, Elkton,
Shannon MacLeod, Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mabel MacLeod,
Dublin; sister, Ruth Potter, Martinsburg, W.Va. Funeral services will be 2
p.m. Friday at the Dublin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard
Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Dublin Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Dublin United
Methodist Church. A Masonic memorial service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the
church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the
Dublin United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 577, Dulbin, VA 24084. Arrangements
