JOHN BROCK, of Strauss Construction, and BARNEY ROSALIA, of Prestige Builders, recently graduated from the National Association of Home Builders Institute.

Brock completed the Graduate Builders program, and Rosalia completed the Graduate Master Builder Designees series.

Both Brock and Rosalia are members of the Roanoke Regional Home Builders Association.

JAMES A. WARDLE of Salem has completed a five day Modern Woodmen of America life insurance seminar in Rock Island, Ill.

Wardle, a district representative for Modern Woodmen, was one of 23 life insurance representatives to attend the program.

CAROLINE TUCK, daughter of Kenneth and Sara Tuck of Roanoke, has received the John H. Armbruster Memorial Award for most outstanding Jaycee in Virginia for the first half of 1993.

Tuck is a member of the Alexandria Junior Chamber of Commerce.

THE ROANOKE REGIONAL HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION recently awarded various realtors for sales and marketing achievement in the housing industry.

The Gold Hammer Award, for sale of 6 or more new homes, was awarded to: Cheryl Ham, Nancy Martin, Tim Toohig, and Sylvia Wilson, all of Boone and Co. Realtors; Betty Kirkland and Anita Mills, both of MKB Realtors.

The Silver Hammer Award, for sale of 4 or 5 new homes, was awarded to: Elizabeth Cantley and Kelly McLaughlin, both of MKB Realtors; Beth Wilson and Tom Wilson, both of Owens and Co. Realtors; and Vivian Frank, Boone and Co. Realtors.

The Bronze Hammer Award, for sale of 1 to 3 new homes, was awarded to: Betty Anderson, Paula Bumgarner, and Frances Witt, all of MKB Realtors; George Baron Jr., Boone and Co. Realtors; Viola Campbell, Campbell Realty; G.K. Kinsey, Owens and Co. Realtors; and Doris Smith, Barker Realty.

Boone, Boone and Loeb received the 1993 Marketing Excellence Award for the Courtyards at Hunting Hills Place. The award recognizes the best marketing effort for a community with 10 or more homes or lots.

CAROLE J. GRUBB of Roanoke has been awarded an engraved service pin by Lightweight Block Co. for 20 years of service.

Solite Corp., the parent company of Lightweight Block, awards service pins for every five years of service.
